ANNOUNCEMENT REGARDING THE RESOLUTION OF EPSON AMERICA INC. v. WIMIUS, Case No. 1:20-cv-12101 (D. Mass.):
On November 23, 2020, Epson America, Inc. sued WiMiUS, among others, in the United States District Court for the District of Massachusetts. Epson and WiMiUS have recently resolved their dispute and settled the case in a way that satisfies both companies.
Both WiMiUS and Epson are committed to accurately communicating the brightness of their projectors to consumers. Both WiMiUS and Epson believe that using the ANSI and/or IDMS and/or ISO/IEC 21118 lumen standards is the proper way to inform customers of the brightness of its projectors. Therefore, WiMiUS is committed to advertising the brightness of its projectors using the ANSI and/or IDMS and/or ISO/IEC 21118 lumens standards.
